A beer like this makes tough as a reviewer. Listed here as a brown ale but on the web site as an altbier. How do I judge it? 13 oz pour on tap in a tulip glass. Looks of dark copper almost ruby. Barely able to see through it. No head, no lacing?!? Smells of malt and almost zero hops. So caramel, bread and roasted smells. Taste?? Hmmm. Malt sweetness balanced with roasted bitterness. Toasted malt with some dark fruit sweetness. Mouthfeel is like water. So little carbonation it is almost still. Overall kind if disappointed. I hope that the keg is old or busted. Something. I will try this from the brewery and report back

Excellent dark copper ale.
A light, malty and crisp altbier brewed in the traditional German beer style with all-American ingredients.
The refreshing brown ale has a bread-like maltiness and hints of dark fruit.
