Get ready for a beer that lands like an elbow drop from a high-flying lucha libre brawler. Wrestling toasted malts and bold hops into submission, this imperial red ale is bursting with color and flavors of sweet caramel and toffee. Take this hoppy ale to the mat.

Poured from a bomber into a 16oz pint glass. Color is a deep copper, with an average head that laced well all the way down. The nose is a combination of ripe fruit, mainly apricot, and floral tones. Taste is very sweet and malty, reminiscent of a farmhouse saison, with dominant toffee notes, supported by caramel and cream. The feel is full and smooth, with very satisfying roasty malt and slightly peppery finish. All in all, a very nice robust 9.0% red ale from Columbus, OH, but still ranks below Founders' ReDANKulous in this category. This Ohioan will concede this matchup, but we all know the Buckeyes kick butt on the football field!

From the 22 oz bomber in a snifter. This beefy red ale pours a copper tinged
red with a fantastic head of off white/light tan colored head that subsides to a
thick ring, thick layer, and excellent lacing. Nose of caramel, toffee, citrus notes
of pineapple, and grassy hops. Flavors hit all the right points with light toffee and
caramel on the front, warming booze and pineapple notes fall solidly on the sides
and middle, and finish with a great grassy hop note that is balanced by sweet candy
malts of light brown sugars. Great medium mouth feel, slick, warming, and substantial
for the style with a touch of rye spiciness on the aftertaste. An excellent red ale that
is one of the best I have ever had.
Cheers
