From the 12 oz can in a snifter via Growler Stop in New Town...and a real
surprise that was---LOVE this brewery! This fine porter pours a rich obsidian with
a thick head o tan foam that subsides to a thick ring, thick wafting layer, and displays
moderate lacing. Nose of light coffee, cream, and dark sweet chocolate. Flavors
surpass the nose with aplomb. Dark chocolate mingle with a smooth cream and
layers of subtle char to culminate in a fine vestige of a drink. Dark fruit
notes show hints of raisin and blackberry along with a smoothing oat
note. Excellent mouth feel; medium full body, smooth, lightly slick,
moderately coating, and finishing on sweet and rich with a lasting
chocolate finish.
Overall, a FANTASTIC brew from one of my favorite Columbus breweries----
Bluejacket take note---this one is most excellent!
Cheers
