Poured from a growler into a tulip, 2 days out from the brewery. Still had good head...
The pour resulted in a 1/2" dark tan head that settled back to lace after a few seconds. The beer itself, even when viewed at the bottom of the tulip, is dark with a hint of red showing through.
Smell is all roast malts and coffee
Taste: there's a quick hint of the roast malt, then it turns over to the oatmeal with a surprising creaminess, and then comes back to roast and sits on the tongue for a while.
Mouthfeel: everything I want in an oatmeal stout; thick without being viscous
Overall: This is a fabulous example of an oatmeal stout, I'd come back to it for sure.

An excellent example of the type with the freshness that typifies Tod's beers.
