12 oz pour into a shaker pint on tap.
A: Small slightly off white khaki head that settles to a film. The body is a dark brown almost leaning toward black with light able to escape the edges.
S: Lots of dark roasted malts, light coffee, some nuttiness, and some rich graininess.
T: Follows the nose almost to a T. A light bit of chocolate interplays with the roasted malts and light coffee as well.
M: Medium bodied to almost slightly watery.
O: This is an amazing swartzbier jam packed with flavor.

On tap at the source.
Dark black creamy off white head that persists. Rich milk chocolate with bits of caramel and light earthy and a touch of vanilla and light fruit. Pretty clean and tasty Schwartz.

From a 32oz growler, purchased at the brewery 05/07/16. Served in a stange, consumed 05/09/16.
Pours a deep cola color with maple highlights, an enormous, fluffy, mocha head of foam and exceptional retention.
Smell is of toasted malts, baking bread and raspberries, tobacco and clean earth.
The taste starts with mild, nutty sweetness, raspberries and currants, leading into iced coffee, vanilla toffee and earthy mushroom, and ending with a hoppy little bite. A little cocoa and toasted oat linger at the finish.
Mouthfeel is sharp and refreshing, light-bodied, almost thin, with bright carbonation.
Overall, a beautiful, easy-drinking beer with surprisingly complex layers of flavor.
