Alewife and I swung by Trib on 03MAR18 and each had a 12oz pour of this... also snagged a growler, which I am now digging into...
Filled a Smutty snifter with about 15oz of the golden nectar... It is actually a deep golden hue, closer to apricot, with plenty of fine carbo swirling about in the clear liquid. The head is off-white, fine and thin, clinging to the edges... The aroma is bready and toasty, with light sweetness. Body is a solid medium, and it is fairly smooth on the tongue.
Flavor mirrors the aroma, with healthy amounts of bready, toasty malts. Has more sweetness and a touch of light caramel. The sweetness lingers in the finish, with a hint of floral hopping. A solid take on the style! Prosit!
