Just weird. Not very true to the oktoberfest or more so the Marzen style at all. Not sure what they did here but it came out drinking very odd.
First off, It’s awkwardly heavy. Like a lot of malt and unattenuated sugars? Its sweet too. Not cloying. But definitely too sweet for a marzen. It has poor carb too. Not enough fizz or snap to it. Its weird. Like a brown ale or something. Not good and wont buy again especially at $16.99/4pk!

Canned 9/18/20
Pours a larger frothy off-white head with far retention, touch of lacing, mostly clear med-amber orange color
Nose brings a sweet toasty malt, a touch biscuity and bread crust like, sweet toasted malt that hints at caramel but doesn't get there, light herbal floral hops
Taste more of the sweeter malts, fair sweetness in general, biscuity with a little caramel toffee sweetness, plenty toasty as well, but the caramel sweetness starts to dominate, med herbal hop flavor with med-lighter bitterness, turning to a spicy hop finish with med bitterness and a bit sticky
Mouth is med bod, med-high foamy carb, nice soft lager
Overall not bad, better than many of the American versions as this was more authentic, but still brought a bit too much sweetness and caramel in general, but a decent beer
