Picked up a single 0.5l bottle at Trib about 2 weeks ago, for $11.29.... diving in out in The 'Zebo after some yard work....
Poured into a Willi Becher, it's a clear, vibrant copper color. Has sparse, sporadic carbo, with a 1/4" layer of off-white foam up top. Lacing left behind is solid. Aroma is pleasantly toasty with a hint of caramel. Smoked malt notes are easily picked up, with suggestions of green fruit and floral hopping. Has a medium body with a fairly smooth feel.
Flavor also has caramel and toasty malts with semisweet action. Green apple and pear appear along with more floral hopping in the finish. The Rauch aspect is pleasant and never in yo' face. Another solid German brew from the Tributary crew. Prost!!
