this is an unfiltered pils, and i really like that, there arent enough of them around. something about lager yeast left in a beer that i like, sometimes these can be too clean and light, so nice to have some substance. hazy yellow beer, awesome head on it. the nose and taste are a lot alike, with the yeast really leading the way. the malt seems really fresh, none of that dusty cereal thing going on at all, and plenty of hops on the back end. maybe not the traditional saaz though, i dont get that limey thing, and its not real grassy either, more of an earthy thing, vegetal, fresh like the grain. fuller bodied, very full for the style, but well enough carbonated and sort of creamy, keeping it easy drinking and smooth just the same. this is the only beer i got to try here yesterday due to the frozen lines, but its enough to make me want to try some more. clever and well executed.
