A: Pours a slightly murky deep purplish red in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising quickly along the edges of the glass and moderate burgundy colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall fizzy sudsy pinkish white head that quickly reduces to a medium sized patch of very thin film and a very thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate aromas of tart blueberries and lactic acid + lactose along with light aromas of sour wheat malts.
T: Upfront there is a light to moderate flavor of slightly sour wheat malts. That is followed by slightly stronger than moderate flavors of blueberries with a moderate amount of lactic acid tartness and a hint of lactose sweetness. Moderate amounts of lingering tartness in the finish.
M: Light to medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Moderate amounts of acidic prickliness.
O: Very enjoyable and easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and an approachable tartness/sourness. Found this tart blueberry sour to be a really successful combination.
