Pours dark brown. Thin, foamy, short lived, light brown head that fades to a lasting ring.
Smells but, earthy, chocolate and roasted malt.
Tastes earthy and nutty with a light bitterness. Followed by a sweeter dark chocolate, roast and light coffee. Finishes dry with an earthy bitterness. Lighter medium body and fizzy lower carbonation.

Look: It pours a very dark brown with a brown head. Head retention is low.
Smell: Strong nut aroma with chocolate, and roast.
Taste: There are strong nut flavors with roast, and chocolate. The initial flavor is a bit strong and harsh with the nut flavors, but adds floral hops with a strong bitterness to the palate.
Feel: It has a moderate feel to it with a strong, bitter aftertaste.
Overall, It has some good flavors, but the hazelnut is a bit harsh with the floral combination adding some more harshness to it.

A: Pours an opaque yet still clear extremely dark brown, approaching black in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and faint dark cola brown + garnet red highlights. The beer has a twi finger tall foamy dark tan head that slowly reduces to a large patch of thin film covering the entire surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate to significant amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Slightly stronger than moderate aromas of milk chocolate, toasted hazelnuts, and lightly roasted malts.
T: Upfront there is a light flavor of roasted malts with a light to moderate amount of lactose sweetness. That is followed by moderate flavors of milk chocolate and toasted hazelnuts. Light amounts of roasty bitterness towards the finish and a light amount of lingering milk chocolate sweetness.
M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation.
O: Easy to drink and enjoyable though a touch sweet (though not cloying)... Best as a dessert beer, something for after dinner. Alcohol is well hidden.
