Syrupy brown with amber highlights and a fizzy half-finger of head. Minimal retention or lacing. Enticing smells of caramel, hot spiced apple cider, and bourbon. Solid oak on the tongue, with a significant spice from the booze that's befitting of the Antagonist name. Ethyl notes, presumably from the barrel-ageing, give it a hotter finish than ideal, but this is only distracting for the first couple of sips.

Poured into a tulip glass. Dark murky brown with little to no head. Smell is heavy bourbon, dark fruit and fig. The taste is right in line, with the addition of vanilla. Mouthfeel is thick, carbonation low, but not sticky. Overall a tasty bbabw. I’ll check back once the bomber is done to update if needed.
