By chance I discovered Rusty Beaver's storefront brewery in Ruther Glen, Virginia. As a lover of dark brews I had to try their one stout - Quake. It's not a great stout but certainly not terrible. It's just forgettable. Quake is a bit thin in feel and taste, and is quickly consumed. A typical stout aroma is discernable and the caramel head rises and dissipates quickly. I wanted to give Quake another chance so I purchased a growler to take home and drink at my leisure and see if a change in conditions improves my impressions.
