Tasted by half-pint at the Ealing beerfest., 11/05/06, gravity dispensed.
A: golden hue, coming with a thin beer head and low carbonation.
S: flowery, lychee-blossom with a deep scent of sweet juicy maltiness, laced with a little grassy hints.
T: flowery hoppyness dominates the palate, while extensively bitter aftertaste lingers with a sour-sweet fruity edge. Very "blurred" flavour overall, without any clear structure.
M&D: light, medium-bodied and lacking a clear structure... compared with other experiments in the One Hop series, this one is not so much of pleasant surprise, though one could take the chance to look into what "Boadicea"-hop might be about--a new breed itself, Boadicea is "the worlds first aphid-resistant hop"... whatever. Queen Boadica is famous for her resistence against the Romans, for sure.
