Initial flavor is malty and tart like a dark sour. The acidic bite never comes, though, instead making way for a wine barrel finish. Slight bitter aftertaste, but this is overall a tame, intricate beer. Plenty to unpack, you will be finding new flavors until you hit the bottom of the bottle -- and the next one.

Picked up a single from the Craft Beer Hop Stop 1-23-19 for $4.75. Bottled January 2019; consumed 4-29-19.
Beer opened as a mild gusher from the Brett, poured dark brown with a solid off white head.
Nose has hints of sour cherries, grapes from the wine barrels, and a touch of bourbon.
Taste is funky on the edge of sour, dark cherries greet the palate with a touch of sweet grapes finishing with a touch of bourbon.
Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied and pretty smooth.
Overall a nicely constructed beer. The lower abv is kind to my pallet that is sensitive the work of the puckering bugs. Definitely would be of interest to the sour heads out there if it is still around.
