Tried on draft. Poured incredibly dark with no head to speak of. Toasted malt on the nose, but much more rich on the the exhale than expected. Tastes on the heavier side, but doesn't stick around long. A perfectly acceptable take on a Russian Imperial.

As of 2022, this is named "Ukrainian Independence Stout", formly "Russian Imperial Stout" in support of Ukrainian's fighting for independence.
Pours black with a finger of caramel foam. Aroma is roasty and toasty malts. Deep toffee, caramel, and coffee creates some forward sweetness, with mild chocolate underneath. It's semi-rich, big, but not boozy. Flavor profile is centered on those same roasty and toasty malt notes, with big toffee, caramel, and coffee behind. Resinous hops show up in the flavor profile, with a repeat of the same mild chocolate note from before. Smooth. Big, but not quite decadent. Mouth feel is thick, and full with a semi-creamy texture. Overall, really solid. Good and filling without being a stomach bomb.

I tried this at the brewery...it poured an opaque dark with no head and no lace. The scent had hints of earth and roast. The taste was slightly roasty with touches of dark chocolate malt. The mouthfeel was medium in body with subtle carbonation. Overall it was so so for a Russian Imperial.
