This is by far the best beer I have ever had and probably the best beer I will ever have.

First review, very happy to have been able to try this and looking forward to the next batch.
Colour is very black, HUGE coffee smell and taste. As mentioned in another review if you don't like coffee this probably isn't the brew for you but it's become one of my favourite beers (just wish it wasn't a seasonal, hint hint)

If you don't like coffee, this beer isn't for you.
If you like coffee, you would be hard pressed to tell the difference between this beer & a cup of dark roast coffee in a blindfolded sniff-test. This isn't just a passing scent - its smells like a bold cup of coffee.
I'm happy to report that the beer itself has a strong coffee presence, but it isn't nearly as overpowering as one might expect, given the aroma. The hazelnut is subtle, but balances the coffee beautifully.
Easily sessionable - not heavy, but also not straying into Porter territory.
Delicious, one of the best pints of beer I've had in the past couple years.

Had this at the Regina Festiv-Ale on Jan 31st. 4 oz sampler.
Pitch-black, opaque, I mean this thing is a black hole... it sucks all of the light out of the room. Dark brown, chocolate looking thick head.
Strong hazelnut and coffee aroma. Dominates everything.
Tastes just like hazelnut coffee. With alcohol. Like, that's all I can taste, spiked hazelnut coffee. So, if you like hazelnut coffee (which I don't) then you'll like this beer.
This was ok, but I was put off by the overbearing hazelnut and coffee flavours. I like coffee stouts, but this one was just a little over the top for me.
