11 ounce pour - $6.50 at Taco Mac in Woodstock, Georgia.
Appearance: Minimally hazed, dark gold-hued body with a ultra-thin, white head from a to-the-top pour.
Smell: Juicy, lemony aroma with a tangelo backing, some slender earthy, floral notes, and a malt base of lightly malted, lightly bready, lightly sweet-scented barley.
Taste: A clean, crisp taste of golden barley. Minutely bready and with a glaze of treacle. Sweet, lemony hop character, earthy and floral undertones, with a late arrival of tangelo. Medium-low bitterness. Remains sweet and juicy through most of the latter half, with a citric accent emerging as the bitterness balances the scale on the finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Overall: Good beer, lousy price. I jumped into this without even checking the style on the menu. I would've assumed it was just a single-hopped pale ale, as while there is an agreeably pleasant amount of hop flavor and taste, there was very little bitterness to be found. So, for those going into this expecting even the usual degree of stinging hop bitterness, you may be left wanting.
