“Snitz” means dried apples in PA Dutch, hence an apple flavored beer. Its creamy texture has notes of honey and finishes with a hint of apple - enough to please the fruit lover yet subtle enough to be enjoyed by all. 4.8% ABV, 19 IBUs

Had on tap. Kind of looks like apple cider with more head. Smell has underdone wheat dominating and drying the apple with mild tartness. Taste is not as unbalanced, apple tartness is pleasant but the wheat clashes a bit as it seems a bit raw. Feel hides this somehow, giving the drinker the wheat and tartness hoped for in a medium body that is sneaky crisp and full

Mild apple taste. Somewhat tart. Nothing works with this beer. Flavors do not meld, apple is almost off putting. They need to re-do this recipe

I enjoyed this on tap at the Gas Station in Hummelstown, served chilled in a pint. My 3700th review.
The color is golden amber with light white head and fine bead with slightly hazed appearance. The aroma is faintly apple with slight yeast presence which has a fruitiness with light spice and bubblegum ester. The feel is mildly tangy with yeast texture giving a light fruit sweetness with medium high carbonation and mild spice from the yeast with a mostly clean/dry finish.
The taste is slightly apple up front with a tangy flavor and mild malt supporting with a cider-like quality and mild German yeast flavor in the middle with slight spice and mild banana-like element with mild spice continuing into the gassy and mostly dry finish. Overall I found this to be okay, but a bit odd almost like mixing apple with a banana heavy hefeweizen in terms of weiss meets cider

On tap at Funcks in Palmyra PA, part of a 4.5oz flight.
A hazy yellow body with a foamy white head. An apple tartness on the nose, slightly sour in the finish. As you would expect from the name, taste is of a hefeweizen with a good dose of cider thrown in. Malt and yeast are pretty muted.
Overall, enjoyed this more than I thought I would. A good beer on a warm summers day.
