Very dark reddish brown with plenty of foam and some nice lacing in the Maredsous goblet. Sudsy and medium body in the mouth. Slight beery aroma with some blackened malt.
Some roasted grain with a little caramel. Fairly dry but mellow. It's less like a typical IPA and more like a "Dark Brown Ale" with the malt and modest bitterness.
HIghly quaffable and very likable brew. Another score for drinkability for Garage Brewing. From the 22 oz bottle purchased from Barons Market in San Diego.
