Near black color with plenty of beige foam in the Affligem chalice. Smooth and silky mouthfeel with the spritzy carbonation.
Such a festival of roasted malt, but so bright and zesty. Sweet but dries out with the bitter hops. Everything is nicely proportioned. Dark caramel baked apples. And the bitter finish.
This has all the big dark brew flavors that suggest chocolate, coffee, and vanilla. Cherry Coke and root beer notes. A massive but highly sippable beer. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Barons Market in San Diego.
