November 1st, 2016 - It's a little late in the year for me to grace my glass with a witbier. I much prefer these in the summer, but the citrus flavor ropes in some winter vibes too, when mikans and oranges come out in bags and nets to offer some sweetness to dull weather. Garage's witbier is a murky straw color with a head that piles up like thousands of tiny pearls. When I smell it (after the head retreats a bit) I notice the citrus most conspicuously, sharp and vivid, and with enough energy to crowd out the wheat and grain bill. That's true for the flavor too, but here the apricot fruit gets it's time to express itself, which it does so nicely alongside the citrus and the softer background of the wheat.

Crisp and refreshing beer. Light but good hint of apricot

Long-lasting while foam on the cloudy yellow-amber brew in the Saint-Martin tulip. Fragrant with that peachy scent. Above average sudsy mouth-filling carbonation.
Just sweet enough to balance the tart fruit. Remartkable intensity of the apricot flavor, makes me wonder what this is actually brewed with. But it's good, and proves yet again that the stone fruits along with berries are the best things to flavor beer with. No hint of hops and maybe a trace of bitterness.
Quite a flavorful and delicious fruit beer. This is the ideal quaff after getting home on another hot San Diego night. I think this is among my top favorite beers for 2015. It's another reason to try out one of the least pretentious breweries in California, in that great beer town Temecula. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Barons Market on West Point Loma.
