Very handsome amber brew with creamy foam top in the fancy wine glass. There is a pleasant spicy aroma with some fruity hops, which they list as Citra, Mosaic, and Idaho 7. Rich and malty with a grainy, wheaty flavor that seems to go well with the hops. A little winey and rich and sweet, with the alcohol finally burning a little as the bitter aftertaste kicks in.
Smooth and strong but perfectly drinkable. Probably my favorite wheat-style IPA. I am always surprised at how well Garage does their oddball brews. My favorites are still the Tripel and the Green Chile IPA. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Barons Market in San Diego, always a good source for Garage beers.
