Clear deep copper color with a sticky, fine-grained foam in the Crooked Line tulip. Rather sweet and malty with caramel and wintergreen. This is a better than average Red ale but it's kind of blowing out the speakers with the hops, which are listed as Amarillo and Mosaic.
Flavor is quite woody and resiny, with that interesting taste I call "musty," though in a good way. Quite bitter, start to finish. Label says "best by date" is 11/18/18 so who knows how long this has been around. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Barons Market, which has an endless variety of Garage brews, many in six-packs.
