Redeye November features an exclusive blend of Brazil Oberon and Sumatran beans from our friends at Mostra Coffee. Flavors of dark fruit, Baker's chocolate and caramelized sugar meld with the spicy rye malt and bittersweet molasses of Darkstar November, our original barrel-aged beer. Yet another piece to the grand puzzle...

500 ml bottle, 2024 vintage, Batch 007. Served in a chalice, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head that stayed around a little while. Good amount of lacing, too. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like coffee, burnt/charred malt, bourbon, dark chocolate, rye and some nuttiness. The taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some molasses, oak and dark bready flavors. No one flavor overpowers the others here, although the coffee does stand out somewhat. Wish the barrel had a little more of a kick here but that's a very minor complaint since it's tasty anyway. Mouthfeel/body is full, it's coating and a bit creamy with a moderate amount of carbonation. I thought this was pretty good overall, certainly recommend this one to everyone but more to those who like imperial coffee stouts!

2024 release. Pours black with almost no head. Nose has a touch of spice, bourbon and coffee leading. Big and boozy taste and a huge mouthfeel. Near still. Finish surprisingly short.

2019 bottle opened in 2025, rated 4.21. Updated rating to 4.26 with 2024 bottle.
Look - Pours a pitch-black color with a decent head that lasted just a bit longer than the 2019 bottle before disappearing.
Smell - Coffee, rye, and molasses.
Taste - Rye, coffee, bourbon, and molasses.
Feel - 2024 verson felt much better than the 2019 version. Much creamier and not as thin.
Overall - A decent coffee stout. Score updated from 4.21 to 4.26 due to the creamier mouthfeel. Taste was similar to the 2019 version and all other scores besides mouthfeel remained the same.
