On tap at Brewskival 2019.
Pours jet black with some soft, chocolate colored foam.
Smell is chocolatey and rich, with notes of cofee, cinnamon, oak, vanilla and a hint of fig.
Taste is sweet and slightly fruity with notes of chocolate, oak, vanilla, coffee, cinnamon and a slight tinge of figs and smoke.
Mouthfeel is thick and oily, well carbonated.
Overall, a terrific porter, rich and decadent, but still subtle.

Had on tap at BL tap room. Love Willet; love espresso; love figs; love big imp porters. Couldn’t wait to try.
Rewarded!
I would love to have had this with a big Partagas Series D #4 out on my deck.
Understand the mixed reviews, but this is so in my wheelhouse. So my bias are taking over.... as if made for me.
Typical dark brown/black pour with minimal head. Not as full as other BL big beers. Nose is rich figgy and bourbony. Taste pulls in all of that and throws in the expresso. Smooth porter with some brightness. Overall a big coffee porter that is beautifully enhanced by the wood /vanilla; figs; dark malts and subtle hops. Great job!

On draft at Bottlecraft Little Italy.
Near black with one inch tan head.
Nose: bourbon-soaked fig, coffee, rich dark chocolate.
Taste: similar to the nose but the coffee is a bit more muted. Bourbon and fig dominate. Finishes fairly sweet.
Feel: full-bodied, smooth, low carbonation.
