Bourbon and rye whiskey barrel aged peach cobbler-inspired strong ale aged on Madagascar vanilla beans, then finished with Vietnamese cinnamon and mountains of fresh peaches.

L: A rich light yellow/brown.
S: A very strong peach with light cream.
T: A strong punch of peach with a lighter bread and cream with odd maple and dry spicy finish.

Opaque dark brown appearance complete with a tan head that settles into a collar over time. Huge cinnamon and booze in both smell and taste. For the smell is works well with the peach, vanilla, and toasty oak. Taste however has the peach come across very sweet, candy-like almost brandy themed with the barrel heat, whiskey in particular cuts through the sweetness, oak is subdued. Feel is warm and medium bodied yet full and textured with the cinnamon, a bit heavy handed for the style but pleasant. Would sit down for 6 months if I had another bottle, but a good boozy dessert

Sweet, cinnamon pie crust, hint of peach, and vanilla whiskey barrel nose on this one! Damn! Aromatics are fantastic! Taste follows exactly! I mean...like Grandma's caramel-cinnamon peach cobbler with a shot of whiskey added! Nicely balanced between the malty sweetness upfront and the whiskey barrel finish. All the additions came through great...this is fantastic!

Pouring clear brown but filling a hazier darker brown, this has a moderate tan head that settles to a creamy flat collar around a filmy surface.

A nose of vanilla streusel leads into awakening cinnamon, which then graciously fades to make way for a blooming of softened, herbal just baked peaches. The peaches take the fore in a most unbelievable way. I could smell Details & Dialects for days.

Taste then flips the script by starting off as peach cobbler, which is peppered by a tingling warmth brought forth by light accents of charred bourbon barrel. Then luscious vanilla creme brulee and even bread pudding ribbons in, accented by a lightly powdery cinnamon.

The body is a silky medium-light with a fine crackly carbonation, finishing just dry.

D&D is one of Bottle Logic's all time greats, and that's saying something!

---

While the above largely holds true to the much awaited second batch, it does seem a little stronger on the strong ale front, and also a little woodier than b1. Even still, it's impressively bright of fresh peach, while cinnamon and vanilla bloom more subtly as it warms. That said, I had b1 far from fresh, so it makes sense that the intensity is amped up in every regard as I'm having b2 about 5 months after its July 2021 release, as opposed to the nearly 1.5 year old D&D of my first experience.

L: Agressive pour left minimal head which then disappeared quickly. Semi transparent and glows a deep amber when held up to the light
S: Amazing sweet peach and cinnamon. Pretty damn close to smelling like actual peach cobbler
T: Peach and booze take the lead with cinnamon following up with vanilla sticking around for a pleasant aftertaste
F: Relatively thick for a strong ale (good in my book) but a touch over carbed
O: A good boozy take on peach cobbler

In my Duvel snifter the beer is a murky brown color with a tinge of red. There is a small tan head that receded rapidly, leaving just a small whirlpool in the middle of the glass.
Aroma of fresh peach, cinnamon, vanilla, and a little booze.
Taste follows the nose. The peach just explodes, and the cinnamon and vanilla are very complimentary. There is some barrel presence.
Big bodied, alcohol (14%) barely noticeable.

Peach cobbler in a glass. Exceptionally executed and great from top to last drop.
