FundamentalCoordinates: Papua New Guinea - Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout featuring Vanilla from Papua New Guinea • 14.47% ABV • A blend of 30-month aged Fundamental Observation base stout and 24-month aged double-mash Fundamental Observation, aged exclusively with vanilla beans from Papua New Guinea. Complex layers of roast coffee, leather, & black peppercorn are the direct influence of the volcanic soil found throughout PNG.

smell of FO upon cracking the cap... soft sweetness on closer sniff. softer on the tongue with... distinguishing vanilla! some cocoa, some sweetness... perfume on the nose now. i have to say this is really good and the flavors are more pronounced than FO and i have to wonder if that is due to the smaller batches? this is really good and i'm a skeptic first and foremost. i may not give this a chance to warm up.... and a super excellent finish!

Look - black thick great tan head and fantastic rimming that last
Smell - toasty malt with a nice chocolate vanilla and slight barrel
Taste - dark chocolate vanilla with a nice barrel but could use more
Feel - great thick creamy body that's fantastic for this beer with a nice light carb
Overall - this is a great beer
