Crust To Core is a bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout collaboration with our brothers in adjuncts, Equilibrium Brewery. This liquid erupted from a combination of Heaven Hill, Elijah Craig and Old Fitzgerald barrels at a molten 15.5% ABV with a gooey chocolate brownie character that we finished with a crater full of cacao nibs and a 300 pound peanut butter treatment for a beautifully balanced, bottled peanut butter brownie.

500ml bottle. 'BATCH *001*'.
Black colored body, with a bourbon tint. Brief appearance of a tan head. No lacing but rather a film is left behind.
Aroma is subtle with the peanut butter because the main scent is dark chocolate fudge, with a bourbon barrel influence. Lots of vanilla.
Taste is a balance of adjunct stout and blended bourbon barrels. The peanut butter is there as a final layer. Chocolate fudge with a soak of vanilla and oak bourbon barrels. Chocolate and bourbon and the peanut butter as the cream on top.
Very thick mouthfeel, with a heavy syrup texture. Gets thinner through the bottle. Higher ABV% is a warming experience, and the burn is pleasant. Supportive carbonation.
Well done adjunct stout, with the special touch of the blended bourbon barrels. A sipper more because of the drinking experience than because of the high ABV%.

Pitch black with hints of brown at the edges, tan head. Smell is the highlight: huge peanut butter cup with brownie batter influence to the chocolate, with lighter barrel. Taste is much the same, but here the chocolate is more dark and the peanut butter is sweeter, barrel here does fight the adjuncts a little for attention instead of melding though, just a smidge. Feel is heavy, thick, chewy, warm and smooth, just as it should be given the vision. Impressive work with the peanut butter in particular

Head production is solid, but retention isn't great.
The nose portends huge notes of peanut butter and bourbon.
On the palate, this is rich and delicious. Bourbon, chocolate, and peanut butter are all vying for dominance. The high ABV detracts a bit from the flavor profile, as there's a noticeable sharp burn, but overall this is a decadent and wonderful pastry stout.

Crust To Core pours black, with not much head. The aroma is sweet, with hints of peanuts, chocolate, and bourbon. The flavor is the same: big bourbon notes, hints of peanuts, some chocolate; sweeter. Good thick feel. Overall, fantastic stout. Sweet stout with with great flavors and lots of bourbon.

500ml capped bottle into a BBT snifter.
Pours thick and viscous. No head, no lace. Thick, oily legs that stain the glass a soft mocha. Nose has huge notes of peanut butter, fudge, chocolate, and booze. Aromatic and dense. Beer opens chocolate, fudge, peanut butter and booze. Sticky molasses, big barrel notes, and cocoa powder in the middle and finish. Booze and sticky caramel in the aftertaste. Body is full with low carbonation. Slick and oily on the palate. Slightly prickly. Boozy and a bit aggressive going down. This has a bit more bubbles than I'd like for the style.
The description is on point here. A hugely peanut buttery imperial stout.

Bottle. 2021.
Tan head that fades. Dark brown near black color.
Peanut butter cups. Chocolate, peanut butter, fudge, oak, bourbon, vanilla. Strong, warming, but very drinkable.
One of the better peanut butter stouts I’ve had.

poured from a 500mL bottle into a SP BBT21 light bulb snifter. pours thick jet black with a swirl of mocha brown foam. peanut butter brownie on the nose and taste was well as some light bourbon and oak. taste has a sweet vanilla peanut butter finish to it. medium-full mouthfeel with a slick finish. heavily adjuncted but never gets too sweet. plenty of barrel. solid barrel-aged imperial stout.

Bottle Logic went wild in 2022. New big beers left and right, this time teaming up with heavy hitters @eqbrewery to release a peanut butter brownie stout. As the name suggests, this is one of the most pastry variants I have had from BL. It isn't overly sweet though, so a bit of finesse going on. There is so much peanut flavor and the body creates a chewy brownie profile. It is a big ABV at 15.5% but, again, not too intense to be off-putting. What a collab
