Mezcal barrel-aged fruit sour with passionfruit, lemon, orgeat and falernum. This potent purple potable was inspired by the "Killer Bee" cocktail, which swaps a traditional "Bee's Knees" gin base for mezcal - a smokier, more aggressive spirit. After mezcal barrel aging, this liquid met blackberry honey and fresh lemon juice for a perfect balance of sweet and sour on the smoke-stung base. We added drums of blackberries for a complex, juicy richness and balanced the finish with a delicate combination of sage and rosemary.
Shake the bottle gently before opening and serve over a giant ice cube in a rocks glass!

Look - thick purple with slgiht rimming and lacing
Smell - slight berry
Taste - taste like berries with some honey rosemery slight wood lemon, really hides the booze
Feel - no real carb, medium full body
Overall - If I didn't know it was a beer I'd think it was a mix drink. Complex and intersting

Opaque dark purple with a short off-white head that dies quickly to nothing.
The rosemary and sage influence the blackberry into a really enticing glaze sort of character on the nose, while taste is far sweeter, heavily influenced by the honey and lemon. This is all mildly accented by mezcal botanicals, but without as much smoke as I'd desired.
The mouthfeel is thicker and smoother than expected, which actually caught me a little off guard. It's not syrupy, but it's close, lightened by a fine crispness that contrastingly comes to a semi-sticky swallow.
While not being too offensive, at times it can have a little medicinal quality to it, but I really wish the mezcal was more present.

Deep reddish purple, could be raspberry juice. No foam or lace.
Medicinal smell, fruit syrup, booze, mixed berry cough syrup.
Taste is better, fruity and tart, dark berry, tastes like a homemade fruit liqueur.
Syrupy and medicinal, low carb. Boozy, can’t drink much of this.
