Midnight black opaque black, big brown head with splotches of lazy lacing. Nose is magnificent: hazelnut with semi sweet chocolate, backed by molasses forward gentle bourbon. Taste has more barrel with the molasses and toasty oak bonding smoothly with the chocolate and molasses, hints of vanillins and a whisper of roast to the second wave of nuttiness that ends it. Feel is medium weight but thick, nuttiness is pronounced, warmth too. Nice for the depths of winter

Poured at fridge temp. Pours a thick and viscous black with a solid inch of brown head. Looks lovely. The nose is full of rich chocolate truffle. Wow. It's exactly as described. Nutella, vanilla, and a slight hint of maple. Dear god this is a nice nose.
The taste follows the nose. This has the characteristic Bottle Logic stout taste, but the rich hazelnuts really punch here. Again, this tastes like liquid Nutella. Coming along for the ride is rich toffee, vanilla, marshmallow, and nuts. Lovely. The bourbon does come through, but it's subtle. Fudge for days.
The mouthfeel is thick and creamy. The aftertaste is sweet milk chocolate.

Dark as a moonless night, thin tan head. Beautiful, sweet aroma: bourbon, chocolate, caramel, vanilla & roasted malt. Very fragrant, very sweet. Taste wise, everything promised by the aroma is delivered. A bit thin, not a lot carbonation but intense flavors are enjoyed by the mouth. Alcohol is not all that apparent. Very, very rich. An excellent dessert.

Sweet milk chocolate, prominent hazelnuts, vanilla, and hint of bourbon barrel nose on this one! Taste follows with a soft and slightly creamy, milk chocolate and vanilla-nutty, and subdued barrel finish. This is tasty! I just wish it had a little more viscosity to it...this would accentuate the additions a little better on the backend. Good stuff!
