Bourbon barrel-aged Stroopwafel-inspired strong ale.
Aromas of fresh-pressed waffle cones and Madagascar vanilla arc toward the palate plane, where their soft sweetness is tempered by the oaky circumference of Old Fitzgerald, Heaven Hill, and Four Roses bourbon barrels. A sparkle of cinnamon rounds out the unit circle, celebrating Dutch contributions to mathematics and merriment.

This beer is barely drinkable. Like drinking a sugary syrup. To me it doesnt taste like stroopwafel at all. The flavor is not good.

Pours a deep brown, not much retention. Cinnamon, vanilla, and some bourbon on the nose. It's quite sweet, I mean it is a cookie stout, maple, vanilla, some caramel, a touch of heat from the barrel. The sweetness on this is overkill and there isn't anything that really balances it out at all. I have a hard time imagining anyone drinking a full glass of this, let alone a bottle. This was a couple sips and done for me.

I love stroopwafel and a I love strong ales. What could go wrong? Well... the main issue is the super sweetness of the caramel laden stroopwafel with vanilla, cinnamon and sweet biscuit all carry for so long in the sip, and the bourbon does not temper as promised bu enhances before the oak can try to save the day too late. Smells great though with the sweetness, booze and oak combining. Feel is warm, very smooth and heavy, but again the sugar builds in the mouth. A taproom delight because it is good for a few ounces, but becomes a chore in a hurry
