Hazy IPA • 6.7% ABV • Tropical aromas with bright summer citrus and a whiff of lemongrass. Find hop-derived flavors of papaya, pineapple, and orange on the palate with a full body and mild sweetness. Pithy citrus bitterness on the finish.

This is going to be the first review of this beer here at this Next Glass owned website. Its not every day I drink a beer with Zappa hops, let's get this party started in the words of that one guy.
Has a hazy watered down chicken gravy appearance in terms of color, clarity and viscosity. Better head appearance and retention 1/3", dense, small bubbles. The aroma went hardest for grapefruit, then some Amarillo like citrus and a light tropical guava influence.
For a hazy body, the taste is that harder bitterness of grapefruit rind. Don't go expecting a hazy smoothed out mouthfeel. I tend to like the tweeners anyways, but even this seemed heavy. The tropical aspect was quite subdued behind the heavy grapefruit bitterness. Still not sure what Zappa hops do, definitely hit the neomexicanus like lemon to further bind to the grapefruit rind notes. Rind rules everything around me.
