Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout collaboration with Voo Doo Brewing featuring Madagascar Vanilla and Brûléed Figs • 14.5% ABV • This Halloween, we’re summoning Teraphobia from its two-year slumber in Heaven Hill and Rye casks. Crafted in collaboration with Pennsylvania’s legendary Voo Doo Brewery, this Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout marks the third ‘fear’ in our collaborative series of monster stouts brewed for those daring enough to confront their darkest cravings.
Teraphobia nods to the eerie allure of figs, cherished by both monsters and mortals in ancient mythologies, and a key flavor marker throughout Voo Doo's famed stouts. After twenty-five long months in barrels, this release was meticulously steeped on Madagascar vanilla beans and house-brûléed figs, layering bourbon and oak with flame-kissed fruit, rye spices, and dark caramel. Each sip beckons you to face the monsters within—a reckoning with delicious indulgence.

500 ml bottle into a snifter. A 2024 release, had 4/19/25.
Pours an opaque dark brown, with a quickly dissipating quarter inch foamy head and a little foamy lacing. Aromas of roasted malt, fig, chocolate, vanilla- stronger as it warms, oak, some malted milk balls, light bourbon and rye whiskey. Flavors of vanilla, bourbon, fig, roasted malt, chocolate, some rye whiskey- more as it warms, some oak, light brown sugar and malted milk balls. Has a little bit of a spicy taste. Smooth, a very good full body, well carbonated.
So good. Loads of vanilla and the figs certainly show well. The barrels come to life in the flavor, especially when the rye barrels warm. A strong effort from these guys. Really enjoyable.

Jet black with brown head for the appearance. Smells of fig and vanilla with cocoa nibs, barrel, and raisin. Taste removes the raisin but adds a faint ribbon of caramel and the chocolate is more lush, but I will say the fig grows and blossoms on every sip. Feel is heavy, sticky, but drier and never syrupy, barrel character is mild, very smooth and warming)

Poured from a bottle at fridge temp. Pours a very thick black with an extremely thin layer of dissipating brown head. The nose is full of chocolate, vanilla, bourbon, molasses, and maybe a hint of figs. The taste is really interesting. Definitely getting a bit vanilla note, along with dark chocolate, some roasted malts, bourbon, oak, figs, maple, and some nice dark fruit. Cherries, blackberries, and even a layer of sherry. Vinous. Overall, a really interesting stout.

On tap. Black color.
Thick, rich, strong. Vanilla and fudge. White cake. Molasses, toffee, caramel. The figs show and blend in with the molasses. Very flavorful. Nice bourbon, oak, and leather notes. Sweet, but not cloying. This is great.
