Golden brown brew with plenty of foam. Big nose of the whole spice drawer. Taste is certainly spiced, but not unpleasantly once you get your head wrapped around the concept. But it might be better if it was served hot, like in the movie "A Man for All Seasons" where the tavern keeper thrusts a hot poker in the tankard of ale. It is plenty sweet, not sugary, with a distinct bitter aftertaste. I taste ginger, allspice, and clove, but pick your spice, it's all there. Overall this is something way different but I'm already looking for a lager in the fridge. From the 16 oz can purchased at O'shea Brewing. No date, but very collectable label art.
