22oz bottle split with a mate; clear amber with an off-white head. Heavy-handed malts, biscuit and caramel but the sweetness is subdued, more bready notes than anything else, with an earthy spice and mild nuttiness. Not my favorite style, and this one doesn't rise very high on the list.

Pours a deep amber with a small head that breaks quickly.
Smell is malt heavy. Caramel and biscuit malts and perhaps a touch of hops on the back end.
Taste is bitter, which is surprising considering the malts on the nose. Hops, and then dry crackery malts.
Feel is thin and watery with a very bitter finish.
Not a great beer. I'm not sure what else there is to say. I would not recommend or seek out.

From 2014.Draft at brewery. A bit hoppier and Less sweet than a lot of Ambers. Nice and smooth and easy to drink, nutty and hoppy flavor. Not my favorite style, but this one hits all the marks.
