Taster at brewery. Pale golden with small ring of white head . Light, sweet aroma, hint of Belgian yeast. Taste is also light and sweet, a bit more of the yeast comes through. Pretty subdued, what the Belgians would call a table beer.

this is real simple and familiar, but they did a good job with the yeast selection and the fermentation, and thats really what this style is all about, so i cant be too critical of the minor technical imperfections it has, like some haziness to it, a slightly more orange color shade than i would designate as blonde, and not much head on the pour. it smells and tastes like dried banana chips, dried flowers, and some spicy esters of clove and even anise or something, and it has more malt to it than a lot of these do, an unnecessary crystal layer, and a built in sweetness like more of a tripel with some sort of candy sugar edition rather than it all being from grain. the yeast flavor is great, and i dont mind the little bit of extra malt in there with it. its clean enough to finish, but has the right amount of linger for the style, the beer just feels slightly heavy than i want it to, but more because the carbonation is a little underdone than because of the fuller body. a fine brew, nice with their meaty chili in here, but nothing particular interesting or dynamic. among the better of the three edge beers i had during our visit here, although i also liked the porter...
