i find it a littl odd that the interesting beers from these guys are always solid to excellent, but the fundamentals like a porter and an ipa and the like are always lackluster. not sure what that says about a place, whatever, this one is really good. the lime on it is natural and clean, acidic and bitter, but also summery and refreshing and very well proportioned. the salt is there too which i like, and there is a sharp vinous sort of profile to the souring thats more than one dimensional, also a nice touch. the lime really drives the flavor, but the wheat can still be tasted too, and there is a briskness to the whole thing, flavorful as it is, that keeps it easy drinking, uncommon in a kettle sour for me, and actually i was surprised by how much i liked this one overall. it has that sort of melted frozen marg taste and feel to it, but it takes me exactly there, and thats impressive for a beer. the right amount of things at the right time in this, right on for summer, and one of the better overall beers i have had from these guys so far. no worries that they cant make a decent cream ale i guess...
