12oz can from Hops & Bottles. Golden pour with a light haze, small creamy head. Grainy, malty aroma. Taste is sweet, bready malts, creamy feel and finishes with a crisp hoppy bite. Solid through out.

czech pils in a reasonably priced sixer of cans, i think this is the first time i have purchased edge beer from the store, at least in a long time, had a good experience there recently so they earned this buy. its a flavorful lager, maybe more hoppy and robust than is traditional, but the flavors are right, despite it lacking the refinement of the imports. this isnt quite clear, but does have a nice inch of head on the initial pout, although it fades pretty quick. aroma is pretty pils malty, dusty and european, authentic but bold, with the grassy hops there as well, light lime and lemon peel too, and some bready yeasty character as well, good balance, but just a touch soppy at the same time, and thats true in the flavor as well. lots of minerals and dry crackery character from the pils malt. bitter at the end, hops not quite as much vibrancy as it smells like with the hops, but saaz or at least a noble varietal it seems. good carbonation but not as light or as snappy or as dry as i like the style to be. i am happy to drink the rest of these, but there are better local pils types in my opinion. that said, im glad these guys are continuing to improve their quality, its quite noticeable...
