On-tap in Boise and served in a pub nonic. Pours an opaque strawberry color which surprised me; other reviews had said that the fruit addition didn’t bleed into the color. Big soapy off-pink head. Strong, strong raspberry tartness and sweetness throughout. Lacto shines as well and lends a lemony sourness to the fruitiness and a touch of raspberry cheesecake flavor. The tart bite is refreshing and the finish is still clean and inviting. Touch of grainy funk underneath all the raspberry character. I think this is a nice fruited sour.

no color here from the fruit at all, this looks almost totally flat too from the tap, not what i was hoping to see, and the fermentation is something other than clean and tidy, its got some of that cheerio dust character, a sweaty sock aroma, and some pretty sharp acidity approaching vinegar to me, i want this to be quicker and brighter and crisper, its weird, but my parents in law both like it a lot, so what do i know. i think the raspberry is obvious, tart as it is sweet which is nice, and the wheat in the base beer can be appreciated too, lots to like about this, but the ferment just isnt there for me, and it makes this seem amateur, short of back yard bucket sour, but just not very well refined. its weird, because i liked the blackberry one a whole lot when that one was around, but this doesnt even seem like the same base beer to me at all. the fruit isnt the problem, its the souring, maybe this ran too hot, maybe its something other than the intended lacto element, but its almost even a little cheesy to me, just not right. lots of good and a little bad, but that little bad takes the whole thing off the rails a bit for me, no carbonation either, not what i was hoping for from this one...
