First off the stats are not correct - I just got a pint can at the brewery in Hawthorne and it reads 8.5% abv so BA needs to fix that. Now onto the beer. This DIPA is amazing, aroma is packed with sweet tropical notes - it's one of those beers that is almost smells as good as it tastes. Pour a hazy golden color - possibly unfiltered not sure. The taste: very juicy as the brewery states. This is a big IPA with lots of hops but also lots of sweet juicy fruity goodness. I detected lots of orange and grapefruit notes as well so I am not sure if there was any fruit additives during the brewing process but I wouldn't be surprised if there were. Like I said it's a big beer but the alcohol is not detectable - so nice and balanced which is hard to pull off with your typical DIPA. The mouthfeel is very smooth and creamy - carb is just right. Pick this one up if you get the chance you won't disappointed.
