No need to bolt the doors or bar the windows - nothing's getting past this full-bodied stout! Through thick and thin, it holds strong and steadfast, with rich roasted malts as it's backbone. Warming notes of coffee and biscuit are all that may penetrate it's dark, facade...some dare not speak it's name aloud, but we think we know what's coming...the shut-out.

A: black with a tan head
S: nice, balanced but not overly intense licorice/cola/roasted coffee
T: not too complex; could use more malt to balance the line of bitterness. Nice long finish but the finish is quite bitter.
M: medium bodied
O: The bitterness gets more and more dominant with every sip. What started out as a very likable beer turned into one that was hard to finish. The bitterness would be muchless noticeable and even desirable if I had it with food.

Bomber Brewing 'Shutout Stout' @ 6.0% , served from a cask on the opening night of Victoria Beer Week , as well this Oatmeal stout can be purchased in 650 ml bottles for $5
A-pour is a dark cola brown from the cask/bottle to a near black in the glass with a thin tan head which is quickly dissapating leaving a minimal lace ring along the pint
S-smell is more coffee than oats
T-similar to the smell , coffee seems to dominate , not oatmeal
MF-ok/decent carbonation , medium to full bodied , dry after taste
Ov-ok beer , decent local Oatmeal stout , not the best thou
