Rye IPA pours dark rum coloured into a glass from a bottle. Offwhite head is one finger high of smooth creamy froth. Plenty of clinging lacing left behind.

Aroma of rye and sweet malts. Flavour is more of that dominant smoky rye flavour with plenty of toffee and burnt apple to add some sweetness. A little chicory and hops on the backend complete the picture and create a balanced beer.

Feel is nice and smooth despite being medium bodied. The carbonation gives it a fullness which endures throughout the draw.

I'm really enjoying this. It's simple and decent bodied which is half the battle. Many rye beers come across generic and thin but this has mouthfeel and depth which makes it quite enjoyable. Would drink again.
