Pitch black pour, espresso-coloured head with little retention that gives way to an instant-coffee-like lacing. A little peat in the smell, together with sour cherries, cocoa. Moderate peat in the taste, along with leather, tobacco (love this taste), smoke, sour cherries and, oddly enough, apples. Medium body, soft mouthfeel. The alcohol is present in the aftertaste, in the form of a pleasant spiciness. Not a bad brew.
