Served in a small pint glass from the bottle.
Appearance: Thin dark motor oil with deep dark body creating a dark tan head which is subtle rising roughly half a fingers length or less.
Smell: Heavy heavy molasses, with hard scent which just falls in love with your nostrils.
Taste: Heavy alcohol but so smooth it just stays with you for a little bit and the molasses with deep light spiciness and smooth whiskey. It's a super addicting taste and crazy Complex.
Mouth: Might be one of the stickiest brews I've had in a very long time. Medium carbonation and super full body.
Overall: Incredible find here in Spain that I will never leave it alone. Once you see it grab it. Potent and rich with power... Salud.

Got this one from Pim a while back. Took me a while to get to it. Cheers, man!

Aged 21 months in Scottish speyside whisky casks
APPEARANCE: Somewhat murky black pour yields a 1+ finger, medium looking, slightly creamy tan head with decent retention. Opaque black body with no carbonation evident. Head slowly fades to a half wisp and ring. Ring and splotchy wisp but no lacing down the glass. Okay looking body and a decent head. A better effort than the first incarnation.
SMELL: Lots of whisky, alcohol, oak, vanilla and cream aromas, some leather and burnt malts on the nose. Lots of booze and wood, with touches of dark fruit and some definite molasses. Pretty aromatic and enticing, though daunting as well.
TASTE: Plenty of whisky, wood, alcohol and leather flavors up front. Peated and hot as well. Peated whisky, leather and booze at the swallow with a bold, heavy and persistent finish of more peated whisky, wood, leather and chocolate, vanilla notes and burnt flavors as well. Molasses and some sweet, dark fruits round it out as well. This is definitely a beast and is plenty boozy, but the peated scotch barrels work nicely and complement the hefty imperial stout base. Not bad at all.
PALATE: Medium body and medium levels of carbonation. Creamy enough on the palate, somewhat slick, goes down with a good scratch and burn and finishes rather sticky. A decent dose of heat lingers on the palate.
OVERALL: This is definitely more palatable than the original version. The imperial stout has more meat, which has nothing to do with the higher abv, and the whisky casks manage to add to the show instead of dominating it. The look and feel are generally better as well. Het Uiltje seems to be hit or miss with me, but of all the barreled imperial stouts, this one is probably my favorite so far. Give it a chance if you're a fan of the style. Cheers, Pim!

21 months in Scottish speyside whiskey casks.
Tan head. Black color.
This one isn't too peaty which I like. Raisins, figs, died cherries, caramel, chocolate, and some roasted malts. Oaky. Whiskey. Vanilla.
Warming. Smooth. Full bodied. Ends a little dry and roasted.
Another great offering from this brewery. Very fun to try!
