I have to admit that my bottle is a few days part its best before date and that is not good for a hoppy beer. This probably explains the slight papery note that I get. The bitterness is still apropriate for the style. I bought this beer because it is single hop Hüll Melon and I always was intriged by this hop. Of course given its age there is not much left to identify the name giving melon aromas but when looking for it a honey dew melon is present retronasal. furthermore there is some noble hops spiciness that is quite enjoyable. All in all very drinkable pale ale. Next time I get is fresh.

 

Almost clear golden color with off-white head. Aroma has citrusy hops, quite floral as well with grainy notes on top. Taste is really balanced with floral hops, medium bitterness, really smooth mouthfeel with nice carbonation. A really well made, easy drinking pale ale.
