When I opened this beer I expected to find a great product. I did not make a mistake Whenever I tasted beers from this factory I was not disappointed. The beer I liked a lot, maybe it lacked some gas but I guess the style is already asking for this character.

Poured from just under fridge temp. This sounds amazing - imperial porter aged in Scottish whiskey casks. This is also the first time having anything from this brewery. Pours motor oil black with very little carbonation. Nose is chocolate, maple, licorice. Flavor is big chocolate, licorice, a bitter bite - perhaps coffee grounds. Also getting some dark chocolate - mostly blackberries. I get a bit of maple, perhaps from the cask, but not much beyond that from the whiskey. Mouthfeel is nice and creamy, and goes well with the bitter aftertaste.
