Got this one from the Duvel guy in Utrecht
From a 440ml can into a pint glass
Canned 27 September 2018
Guave, mango and peach tropical pale ale
APPEARANCE: Pours a 1+ finger, looser, foamy white head with good retention. Murky, muddy gamboge orange with no carbonation evident. Head recedes to faint wisp and clings to the glass. A splotchy wisp remains leaving some nicer lacing down the glass as it empties.
SMELL: Tropical fruits on the nose with mango, peaches, passion fruit, pineapple and some honeydew melon as well. Bold enough and plenty juice-like. Nice.
TASTE: Peaches, mango, honeydew melon sweetness and some light soapy qualities up front. Pulpy mango and peaches at the swallow with a bolder and lingering finish of soapy hops, tropical fruits, melon, peaches and mango, some pineapple, as well as some hop bitterness for sure. Plenty of tropical fruits but there is a soapy note in there as well.
PALATE: Medium body and medium carbonation. Soft, creamy and smooth on the palate, goes down smooth and finishes dry. A touch astringent perhaps. Some bitterness lingers.
OVERALL: Good stuff. The fruit character is really nice and the feel is really pleasant as well. Love the murky look too. This is an enjoyable, fruit forward hoppy beer, solidifying ‘t Uiltje’s spot as one of the best in the country at this style. There’s a bit of a soapy quality that’s not really my thing, but this is a minor complaint here. Well worth checking out and I look forward to more in their bi-weekly lineup of hoppy stuff. Cheers!

not so nice with lots of sediment and the fruit tartness clashes with the bitterness, also a bit thin. nothing in this beer makes really sense even for an outlandish fruited hazy IPA. Maybe this was fresher and better and more appropriate on a hot summer day but not in this golden fall.
