Got this one from Duvel guy. Cheers!
From a 440ml can into a pint glass
Canned 13 September 2018
APPEARANCE: Pours a one finger, medium looking, fluffy white head with good retention. Hazy amber orange in color with lower levels of carbonation evident. Head slowly fades to a full wisp and clings to the glass. A splotchy wisp remains leaving decent lacing down the glass as it empties.
SMELL: Tropical fruit, passion fruit for sure, lemon, some honeydew melon aromas with hints of grapefruit as well. Decent strength.
TASTE: Passion fruit, melon flavors and some lemon up front. Tropical fruits. A hint of bready malts at the swallow, followed by a medium but lingering finish of tropical fruit notes, passion fruits, melon sweetness, honeydew, some light lemon and some light notes of bitterness. Fruity and decent strength.
PALATE: Medium body and slightly lower carbonation. Creamy, silky smooth on the palate, goes down smooth and finishes a touch dry on the palate. A hint of bitterness lingers. Definitely silky and smooth for the style.
OVERALL: Good stuff for sure. The aroma and flavor are nice and the feel is especially good on this one. Uiltje has been a consistent brewery for a while now and their IPA brews have continuously improved. This is another fun chapter the hop story. Cheers!
