Imperial Pineapple Weizenbock

Clear amber brew with modest foam in the Brigand chalice. Surprising tropical aroma, like some kind of Mexican fruit concoction. Not too acidic, but fruity-tangy. I wouldn't say it tastes like pineapple, particularly, but it's a strong fruit with herbal tea taste. A little astringency in the aftertaste. Overall this is an oddity, but I have to admit the Weizenbock makes a better base for this fruit than the over-hopped IPAs or anemic American wheat beers. From the 12 oz can purchased at the Uiltje store in Haarlem.

 

Great pineapple aroma on this one. I never had so much pineapple in my beer. tropical feelings on a dark cold winter night.
